Is september a good month to go diving in Honduras?

I can only go on a vacation in September and I really want to go to Honduras for diving. But with the hurricane season I dont know if that would be a great place to go. Any suggestions?

well from what I know about honduras mainly the worst season would be summer only because of the weather also, crime rate has gone up so much this year, I went in april one year and the weather was beautifull

Hurricanes normally are not really that big of a concern for us here because most of them pass to the north without affecting us much. But, the north coast of Honduras and the Bay Islands can be pretty hot and humid in September. Also, the rainy season doesn’t really start until Oct. so you don’t need to worry about water visibility in Sept.
